We had a change of Personnel at the top of my organisation: And I find it quite amazing that the person who is now indirectly my boss was basically in charge of Southern Iraq after the “Invasion”. He also was deputy in charge of Iraqs new army. He has also been in Afghanistan. I was in a meeting with him today, he was explaining the challenges in Afghanistan. How, it was much easier to rebuild Iraq as compared to Afghanistan due to all the cultural and ethnic divisions in Afghanistan. He also pointed out Afghanistan had so many natural resources including: Oil, Uranium, Copper, coal etc., but no one wanted to invest in Afghanistan as the country was so unstable and there was no rule of law.
This is one of his Papers. (according to the Internet). I do know he has some books published on Military History etc.
